And the evening and the morning were the first day.	ויקרא אלהים לאור יום ולחשׁך קרא לילה ויהי־ערב ויהי־בקר יום אחד׃	Genesis 1:5	Here I find the definition of ‘one day’ in terms of the dark and cold time period followed by the light and warm period of time.[1] Notice that there was no sunset, no turning dark before light was created, thus there could have been no sunset, nor dusk, to begin that “one day!” It follows that there is an overlap between each of the following days: The darkness of each new day begins while the light of the old day is still lingering.

Also the root of the word היבשׁה (Strong’s H3001) has to do with ‘failing,’ as in losing its inherent heat energy, thus ‘solids.’
6	And God said, Let the earth bring forth sprouts, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. In contradistinction, the man, Adam, was not granted a corresponding privilege (cf. the first words of Gen 3:17!)
10	In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat heated food, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. Strong’s H3899 & H2525! Thus, I find that one component of the chapter 3 event was man’s choice of heating his food, thus spoiling many of its life giving components!
11	And after the boundary of time marking the beginning of the hot season it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.			And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.	ויהי^H1961 מקץ^H7093 ימים^H3117	Gen 4:3 TLT	This is the first instance, in the Holy Scriptures, of the Hebrew word קץ, Strongs H7093. This word, per Scripture usage, pertains to the beginning of things, that is, not to the end of things. Cf. my study under the link!

[1] Notice also the two words ערב and בקר have two letters in common, which two letters means ‘great’ (as in greater portion, or a time of any light or of any darkness,) and that the remaining letters have certain key characteristics: ע stands for ‘70’ and something that makes complete, whereas ק, ‘100,’ means ‘eye of the needle’ and is something through which something is passing, and upon which something may be hung. Accordingly, בקר is a word denoting a period of time beginning in the middle of the 24 hour ‘day’ here defined, whereas ערב denotes a period of time beginning at the ultimate ends said ‘day.’

[3] Notice, when the second or third generation fails to marry successfully, there will be no offspring beyond “the third or fourth generation.”

[4] Per my Hebrew word study, the Hebrew word “מקצה” may be literally translated “after the point of the beginning…” The prefix “-מ”means “after” or “following.”
