That is, What about the Great
Disappointment Experience of the Millerites?
Abstract:
Sometime
prior to the day commonly known as “March 17, 2011” someone posed me the above
question: What about 1844? On said date I first made a diagram
(Swedish version here!) attempting to answer said question, that is,
based upon the anchor point I seemed at that time to have discovered for connecting a firm and exact
bridge between the early Old Testament chronology and current time reckoning.
Since
that time I’ve been impressed that, more than likely, there has
been a significant pole shift to the effect that the geographic coordinates for
Jerusalem were changed from a pre pole shift location presently occupied by a
place near the city of Salvador in northern Brazil. Due to such a change of
location, the night sky was quite different than it would have been, had there
not been a subsequent pole shift such as is suggested by 2 Kings 20:8-11 and Isaiah
28:7-8. In consequence of that fact, after analyzing the particulars of said
pole shift as best I could, I was able to find a new anchor point for said
bridge between the early OT chronology and current time reckoning. The new
anchor point was found 18 years prior to the one I had previously discovered…
After
visiting Japan during the fateful tsunami hitting northern Japan earlier this
year, my daughter asked me some questions re earthquakes and gave me an
incentive for looking more closely into the details of the pole shifts that
seems to be described in the Holy Scriptures during Joshua’s time and then
again in King Hezekiah’s time. This interested was also baited by the record
found in the Book of Jasher,
and in Charles Hapgood’s books. More…
Then,
during this last Sabbath, in our local church, a lady came up to me asking once
again the same question above that had been previously posed to me: What about
1844?
In
consequence of that question I came to review my prior work and in so doing I
was reminded of the above diagram and its reference to 963 BCE… Well, I
realized that, if there had indeed been a pole shift, then my prior associations
to 963 BCE would have to be reconsidered. At first I, came to recognize that
that year, under this new pole shift scenario, would have been the year within
which Solomon’s 25th year of reign began.
What if anything happened in that year?
As
has been happening to me so many many times during
this chronology study, the Ancient of Days came to my rescue, and this morning
He opened up my Bible (the Swedish version) for me to the below quoted
passages. I was struck with the obvious connection between those passages and
my unanswered question of the late evening before.
Thus, this evening, 5923[((*??*)] 04
07 2027 [2011-08-07,] I decided to review those details a
bit more closely. Seeing that the daughter of Pharaoh was not likely the same
as the Queen of Sheba and that Pharaoh’s daughter moved to her newly completed
house in the 20th year of Solomon’s building upon the two houses, I
found that almost certainly one of the key beginnings of Solomon’s covenant
relationship with the Queen of Sheba would have had to have begun within that
25th year of Solomon’s reign.
Once
again I was struck with the hidden emphasis placed by the Holy Scriptures over
and over again upon the beginnings of a family unit! That is, over and above
anything created or built by men, even over and above the tabernacle as built
by Moses upon the direct instructions of the Lord of Hosts Himself! Indeed, the
Ark of the Covenant and the Tabernacle of the Israelites seem to be very much
associated with and based upon the Creator’s design and pattern for each and
every family within the People of God!

Sheba! :)
