A Table Showing the Exact Dates of
Lazarus’ Being Raised from Death
“And when [Yeshua] thus had spoken, he cried with a
loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand
and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound
about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.” John
11:43-44 (KJV)
Abstract:
Having
one’s eyes opened or being raised from death is certainly a most wonderful
experience!
Consider
the similarities between those wonderful experiences and that of realizing a
thing or two unto which one has heretofore been blind! One’s own errors and
false assumptions certainly not excluded!
May
the time of Lazarus’ being risen from the dead be exactly pinpointed?
Notice
the easy and perfect fit of all the facts once these pieces of the puzzle are
being placed in the correct place within the calendar. That is, in comparison
to a very similar looking position in time, yet one year off! Before this, I
was convinced that 18 CE was the year for the crucifixion and resurrection of
Yeshua because most everything seemed to fit quite well, yet, it wasn’t always
a perfect and easy fit. Cf. this link! Notice, in
comparison, in the table below, how much simpler, easier, and much more perfect
all the original words of the Gospel passages are now fitting!
Yes,
I believe our Savior may have more arousals available for each of us than most
any of us ever thought!
Selah!
Consider it!

The time frame for the events leading up to the
raising of Lazarus: The last Feast of Dedication prior to the 19 CE
crucifixion began on
Wednesday Dec 21, 18 CE. The experiences of Yeshua at the Feast of Dedication
ends with the following words: “39 Therefore they sought again to take him: but he
escaped out of their hand, 40 And went away again beyond Jordan into the
place where John at first baptized; and there he abode.” John 10:39-40
(KJV.) Luke’s recording of events (cf. this link vs. the items listed below!) indicates that Yeshua spent some time in Galilee
and Samaria during the time between his visits at Jerusalem at the Feast of
Dedication and the Passion Week. If true, then this fact necessarily places
the meeting with Zacchaeus and the raising of
Lazarus towards the end of that time period: 1.

“3 Therefore his [Lazarus’] sisters sent unto him
[Yeshua,] saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest
is sick… 6 When he had heard therefore that he [Lazarus] was sick, he
abode Day Two still in the same place where he was.” John 11:3, 6 TLT John makes it clear that Yeshua received the
messengers on Day Two [Monday,] but it could well be that the messengers took
some time in finding him, and who is to say how rushed they may have felt…
and how willing they might have been to travel any distance during the
Sabbath if they were sent prior to that. Thus, the message might well have
been sent on Friday, albeit not likely later than Sunday. More… Accordingly, based on John 11:3, 6 alone, Lazarus might
well have died on Sabbath. Adding to that the words of Martha per verse 39, I
find confirmation that indeed he did: John 11:39 TLT Jesus
said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him
that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, he is already stinking: for it is
the fourth day. John 11:39 KJV Jesus said, Take ye away the stone.
Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time
he stinketh: for he hath been dead four
days. |

“6 When he had heard therefore that he [Lazarus] was

again” John 11:6-7 (TLT) Observing firsthand the
new moon crescent defining the Eve of the New Moon defining Month #1 of the
Scriptural Year. Yeshua emphasized the importance of a direct
Father-Son relationship between the Creator and each of us, thus naturally he
recognized the importance of taking responsibility for observing the crescent
of the new moon himself on the Eve of the New Moon and of Month #1, the month
in the midst of the Scripture year that tunes the remainder of each Scripture
year to the seasons. As is noted within this study Yeshua’s calendar was
thoroughly based upon his own observations of the New Moon crescents (which
on this Monday night he might have been looking for from Mt. Nebo “beyond
Jordan” (John 10:39-40 KJV.) More… “1 And Jesus entered and passed through
Jericho. 2 And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus…
5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto
him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy
house.” Luke 19:1-5 (KJV.) Cf. Num. 10:10, 28:10, 1 Sam. 20:5-6, & Ps.
81:3. Jericho is generally recognized as located within
Judea during the last few years of Yeshua’s life. If Zacchaeus’s
house was located in Jericho it ought also to be within Judea |

Yeshua’s leaving Jericho
for Jerusalem together with “a great multitude” seems to indicate that
Passover was quite close at hand: “29 And as they departed
from Jericho, a great multitude followed him. 30 And, behold, two
blind men... 34 So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and
immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.” Matt 20:29-34
(KJV.) Most likely Yeshua set out to travel on the morning
immediately following the night during which he must have stayed at Zacchaeus’ house. This would allow him and the “great
multitude” to head for Jerusalem on the morning of the last day of Adar in
time to arrive to Mt. Olives to observe the now easily observable New Moon
crescent from there at the beginning of the Fourth Day [Tuesday night,] while
raising Lazarus the very same evening. Cf. Mark 10:12, 46, 52,
& 11:1; Luke 17:11, 18:31, 35, 43, &19:1,5, 28; and John 10:22, 40,
& 11:3, 6, 7, 17, 39, 53-55. |

John 11:17 TLT Accordingly came Yeshua to find
him [Lazarus,] on this Day Four, being already placed within the tomb. John 11:17 KJV Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain in
the grave four days already. John 11:18 KJV Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about
fifteen furlongs off: John 11:19 KJV And many of the Jews came to Martha and
Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother. John 11:20 KJV Then Martha, as soon as she heard that
Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in
the house. Notice (verse 20) that Yeshua was in no rush to
head first to the home of Martha, Mary, and Lazarus. Almost certainly he gave
priority to that which alone would provide for him the markers and signs of
God’s own reckoning of time. Accordingly, he headed first to the top of Mt.
Olives such that he would observe for himself firsthand the New Moon crescent
of Aviv 1. More… John 11:39 TLT Jesus said, Take ye away the stone.
Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, he is
already stinking: for it is the fourth day. John 11:39 KJV Jesus said, Take ye away the stone.
Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time
he stinketh: for he hath been dead four
days. John 11:43 KJV And when he thus had spoken, he cried with
a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. Now, think about
this a minute! This is happening at the very time of the foremost New Moon
crescent of the year, the New Moon crescent of Month #1, the focal point of
the Scripture year. Isn’t this a great time to “give the trumpet a certain
sound,” and to blow the shofar?!!! And isn’t Yeshua doing exactly that per
the words of his being recorded in John 11:43? Cf. Num.
10:10, 28:10, 1 Sam. 20:5-6, & Ps. 81:3: Numbers 10:10 KJV Also in the day of your gladness, and in
your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with
the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your
peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the
LORD your God. Numbers 28:11 KJV And in the beginnings of your months
ye shall offer a burnt offering unto the LORD; two young bullocks,
and one ram, seven lambs of the first year without spot; 1 Samuel 20:5 KJV And David said unto Jonathan, Behold, to morrow is the new
moon, and I should not fail to sit with the king at meat: but
let me go, that I may hide myself in the field unto the third day at
even. 1 Samuel 20:6 KJV If thy father at all miss me, then say,
David earnestly asked leave of me that he might run to Bethlehem his city: for
there is a yearly sacrifice there for all the family. Psalms 81:3 KJV Blow up the trumpet in the new
moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day. |

John
11:53 KJV Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him

Considerations:
Two
scenarios were presented for my prior, now obsolete Resurrection of Lazarus vs.
18 CE crucifixion scenario. Upon realizing that the
correct year for those events is 19 CE, and not 18 CE, I find that the details
of this story of Lazarus’ sickness, death, and resurrection, fits ever so much
easier into the facts of the calendar.
The
prime key for dating this event is the fact that Martha is quoted as saying,
not “for he hath been dead four days” as translated in KJV, but “for it is the
Fourth Day [of the week]” (cf. the Greek Textus Receptus version of John
11:39.) It is worth emphasizing that ‘the Fourth’
occurs ‘after three full days’ while ‘after four full days’ you have ‘the Fifth Day.’ Cf.: “Then when Jesus came, he found that
[Lazarus] had lain in the grave four [full] days already.” John 11:17 (KJV.)
Thus,
in accord with the best available Greek text, it seems certain that Yeshua
called Lazarus from the grave some time between
sunset Tuesday night and sunset Wednesday night, i.e. on the Fourth Day. The more difficult question remaining is: The
Fourth Day of which week? - Well, that
question no longer seems difficult to answer… Now that I’ve finally learnt the
correct year for where to place it.
Prior
to Passover, in the month of Aviv, 19 CE, the Fourth Day of the week occurs
twice: Aviv 8 and Aviv 1.
Upon
studying carefully the records of the facts, it seems clear to me that Yeshua
looked for, but did not see, the New Moon crescent of Aviv 1 prior to his
arrival into Judea, from a point of observation outside of Judea, perhaps from
Mt. Nebo. After that, he departed with his disciples into Judaea and Jericho,
stayed overnight at Zacchaeus’ house, and then left
on Tuesday morning for Mt. Olivet and the home of Martha, Mary, and Lazarus in
Bethany arriving there in time to observe the Aviv 1 New Moon crescent, and to
raise Lazarus from death that same evening. This scenario fits perfectly not
only with this passage:
“And
in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode
in the mount that is called the mount of Olives” Luke 21:37-22:1.
But
also with these:
John 11:53-57
KJV:
53 Then from that day forth they took counsel
together for to put him to death.
54 Jesus terefore
walked no more openly among the Jews; but went thence unto a country near to
the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his
disciples.
55 And the Jews' passover
was nigh at hand: and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify themselves.
56 Then sought they for Jesus, and spake among themselves, as they stood in the temple, What
think ye, that he will not come to the feast?
57 Now both the chief priests and the Pharisees
had given a commandment, that, if any man knew where he were, he should shew it, that they might take him.
I
also notice that the Scriptures indicates that “a great multitude” followed
Yeshua out of Jericho towards Jerusalem. To me this is an indication that
Passover was very close at hand and that the month of Aviv was very close at
hand when Yeshua left Jericho for Jerusalem.
Per
the KJV translation John writes:
“3
Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick… 6 When he had heard therefore that he was
sick, he abode two days
still in the same place where he
was. 7 Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea
again” John 11:3-7 (KJV.)
As no doubt also most every translator of the New
Testament, so I too had some trouble fitting the markers of time within the
last prior passage into my prior 18 CE crucifixion scenario. However, upon
realizing my former error in favor of recognizing that 19 CE is the correct
year for those events, I found that all my prior difficulties simply vanished!
Gone!
Was there a particularly important reason for Yeshua’s
delay prior to his returning with the messengers calling him to help the dying
Lazarus? Was the observation of the New Moon crescent of particular importance
to Yeshua at this point? Is Mt. Nebo, or
some other point of observation east of Jordan, a better observation point for
borderline New Moon crescents than is the Mt. of Olives, or is there another
reason? Inclement weather is a common reason for not being able to see the New
Moon crescent. The more distant from the
Re Bartimaeus’ Jericho’s
names and re the foul calendar of the Jews:
Arriving into Jericho, and thus into Judea where the
New Moon, i.e. Aviv, is not yet officially recognized, Yeshua met a blind man
by the name “Bartimaeus” whom he told “Go thy way;
thy faith hath made thee whole” (cf. Mark 10:46, 52.)
Interestingly, especially in the context of Arguments #5 and #6 below, the name
Bartimaeus means “son of Timaeus”
and the name “Timaeus” means “to be foul,
especially in a ceremonial or moral sense (contaminated,)” (cf. Strong’s
#2930-31.) Is this a hidden cue to the impure Calendar used in Judea?
What is the meaning of the name Jericho? According to
Strong’s #3405, #3394, and #3391, the name Jericho is derived from a word
meaning “its month,” “the moon,”
and “a lunation, i.e. month.”
Shouldn’t the meaning of this name focus our attention, as it probably
did Yeshua’s, upon the basis, i.e. the beginning, of the lunar month and the
corresponding year?
Reflections re Zacchaeus;
his name and his purpose in life
Could it be that Zacchaeus’
promises after Yeshua’s visit with him is a reflection of Yeshua celebrating
with Zacchaeus the New Moon of the month that
‘purifies’ the calendar and the reckoning of time such that our time as man is
being tuned to the time of our Creator? The name Zacchaeus
meaning “pure, clean, transparent, translucid, innocent…” (Strong’s G2195, H2140, H2141,
H2135.) What are the implications of being in tune with God’s Sabbats; His Sabbath Years (cf. Deut. 15:1-18,) His Years
of Jubilee (cf. Lev. 25:10,) the Calendar of the Creator even from the
beginning of time as recorded in Genesis? Is this perhaps a hidden key for
pinpointing more exactly the Creator’s Sacred Calendar? Is all of this,
including also the name Zacchaeus, a hint towards
helping us find the Sacred Calendar based upon the original Genesis Creation? A
hint helping us correct, make “pure,” our errant ways, based as they are upon
various other calendars, one or more of which may well be represented by the
great sin of king Jeroboam in setting up the two “golden calves” in Bethel and Dan? The Hebrew words corresponding to
“golden” and “calves” means, respectively, “shimmer, gold… something gold
colored (i.e. yellow), as oil, a clear sky” and “to revolve, circular” (cf.
Strong’s #2091 and #5696.) Thus isn’t “solar calendar” an equal or better
translation of the Hebrew words translated “golden calves?” Cf. also the many
references to the sin(s) of Jeroboam in the following passages: 1 Kings 14:16,
15:30, 34, 16:2, 16, 26, 31, 22:52, 2 Kings 3:3, 10:29, 31, 13:2, 6, 11, 14:24,
15:9, 18, 24, 28, 17:22.
Reflections re Lazarus; his name and his purpose in
life
The Greek name Lazarus comes from the Hebrew name Eleazar which means “God (is) helper” (Strong’s #499.) Could this be yet another subtle hint of Jahwe’s, relative to ‘arising’ for us (at the end of times,
that is, the present, as situated at the tail end of all time that ever was)
the ‘help’ we need from the ‘Creator’ in reestablishing true time reckoning
relative to the Creation and the true beginning of time? Perhaps to Yeshua the
messengers bringing the news about Lazarus’ illness was also understood in
terms of the “ill” time reckoning that is distancing the people from realizing
the blessings otherwise inherent in “God [as a] helper?” Cf.: “And ye shall cry
out in that day because of your king [cf. Jeroboam and his “golden calves,”
i.e. his “solar calendar”] which ye shall have chosen you; and the LORD will not
hear you in that day” 1 Sam 8:18 (KJV.)
