The Passover Week of the of Crucifixion
The Key Event - the Sale - Took Place on Aviv 14, while the Crucifixion Happened on Friday Aviv 17
“…make not my Father's house an house of merchandise” John 2:16
With the Preceding Transfiguration Event (on Shemini Atzeret) and the Subsequent Ascension (Omer Reshit), and Pentecost (Hag Shavout)
Showing All the Fits of this Model from 15 CE through 37 CE
The Best Evidence Indicates the Crucifixion took place Aviv 17, 18 CE
For supporting discussion and references please see http://medlem.spray.se/PowerOfChoice/TimingOfTheEventsOfThePaschalPesachWeek.htm
This Model is Primarily Based Upon the Weekdays as Given in the Greek NT (Textus Receptus)
(e.g. "after [the first] two days [of the week]" or simply "after the Second Day" or "Monday night")
“After [the first] two days [of the week] is the feast of the passover” Matt. 26:2 (KJV)
And in Accordance with the Shadow given in the Torah - Though at Variance with the Oral Tradition re timing of the Omer Reshit morning   Notice that the astronomical New Moon April 4, 18 CE occurred at 9:39 PM.  This makes for "borderline" New Moon visibility at sunset the following day April 5. A calculated date would likely consider the evening of April 6 Nisan 1. Yeshua may have seen the New Moon himself on April 5.  This situation alone uniquely selects 18 CE as the prime choice out of all others considering difference in the Passover observance between Yeshua and the priests. 18 CE also appears to be in harmony with the astronomical and purely historical correlations presented in the studies of Ronald L. Conte Jr.
