Pardon Mwanza,
There is tremendous power in every word of truth. There is little power in words as mistakenly understood and abused.
I believe there may be a need for considering the term "present truth" a little bit closer:
I am convinced that the following paragraph of yours constitutes a very good description of the meaning within "present truth:"
"If God’s people would continue studying and praying for light, God will continue revealing to His people more light from Scripture. The Bible is like a gold mine and only those who tarry long at it and dig deeper will continue to hear the truth from God. The key is that all truth is Scriptural based."
As we all know, as we grow from childhood, little by little we learn one "present truth" after another. In so doing, we frequently have to correct former misunderstandings of our own. That is true for each of us as individuals. It is likewise true for God's People as a whole. This is what Isaiah is talking about in Isaiah 28:9-14. Yesteryear's "present truth" is not necessarily today's "present truth." Indeed, if we insist upon holding on to the "present truth" of yesteryear, in spite of the fact that God is shedding more light upon certain details such that past errors and imperfections within yesteryear's "present truth" are being revealed, then we are infact holding on to lies while fooling ourselves that those lies are also today's "present truth." That is not so! Not a good thing to do! Not a characteristic of a true Son or Daughter of God. Nor is it a characteristic of the People of God.
The original records of the Holy Scriptures are the same now as they always were. That does not ever change. The truth, and the facts of every matter, remain the same forever. That does not ever change. The only thing that does change from time to time is each our own, and our congregational, perception of the realities that are what they are, forever. To the extent that we are willing to humble ourselves to the truth being revealed to us from time to time, we are indeed little children, such as Jesus insists that we must be. Then we are truly his disciples, disciples of the God of Truth.
To put it simply: The word 'present' within the term 'present truth' is an adjective qualifying the word 'truth.' The 'truth,' unqualified, is always and forever the truth, but the word 'truth,' when qualified by an adjective is sometimes something less than the truth as it really is. This is obvious when we consider a phrase such as "your truth is not necessarily my truth."
Likewise, the word 'present' means exactly that: The truth, as perceived presently. That is not one and the same as the naked truth that is whatever it really is.
May we humble ourselves before the Lord of Hosts, the one God of Truth, in order that we may be ever more willing to listen, learn, and correct our ways and our always less than perfect perception of the truth as it really is.
Remember Moses! Wasn't he the most humble man that ever lived? Cf. Num 12:7 and Hebrews 3:5.
John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
Praise the Lord of Hosts, and our Savior, who is leading each and all of us forwards upwards, ever closer to the New Jerusalem,
Joh 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
