Beloved Brothers and Sisters,

 

 

It is winter. We’ve been blessed with a little bit of snow at Nyhyttan in Sweden this last week. Yet, there has been no real chills to speak of thus far. Except, that is, for the water at the dock in connection with the sauna and a in connection with cooling off from Jonathan’s sauna that came into being this last month in August   :)   . . . .   One would hope that the warmth in the depths of our innermost heart is a good deal hotter and that, in consequence, we allow ourselves to be ever more filled with such things as belongs to the love of God and the Way unto the Kingdom of God!

 

In a way it may feel as though we should be in the middle of the winter now that the Sun has reached its lowest point on the sky, the point of winter solstice, now that the days are once again beginning to get longer and longer… if not necessarily hotter just yet…

 

Perhaps someone is being reminded about the word Midvinterblot at this time of the year?

 

But how many make an association between Midvinterblotet and Jesus as a young child? Or didn’t King Herod the Great at one time order all the little children of Bethlehem to be slaughtered? Might there be a connection between the two in real time? Perhaps someone may even remember that there was a very similar event at the time when Caesar Augustus was to be born?

 

Last year at this time you might have received from me a link re the Star of Bethlehem and re some discoveries of mine relative to that Scripture record vs. what I had found in my astronomy software to correlate with that Scripture record. As I kept pursuing that study I found more… My insight kept growing along this Way of Life, along this Way of God. Unlearning prior errors of thought, learning new and ever better things… This is an amazing and wonderful age in which to live, is it not?!!!

 

At any rate, I found indications that Herod might have had in mind something like Midvinterblotet at the time of winter solstice at the very time when the wise men arrived at Jerusalem. At that time, per my findings, Jesus would have had his second birth day. The Scripture record seem to indicate that Joseph and Mary had at that time returned to Bethlehem after having spent about a year or so at their home in Nazareth following the delivery of their child…

 

Perhaps you’d be interested in digging into the details of these things? Perhaps you’ll find your own treasures somewhere within that which I’ve been privileged to bring to light? Things within God’s tremendous creation that I haven’t noticed?

To dig into the latter of those two studies of mine more beneficially, I believe it will be wise for you to identify questions of your own, then to go to God in prayer to find those answers, and then perhaps to begin by reading my introduction and to continue with section #7, the section dealing most directly with the Star of Bethlehem and the events recorded in the Scriptures re those early years of Jesus’ life.
