My dear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord of Hosts,

Dear Toby, my old time buddy,

Dear Kent & Annele,

Considering especially our respective very recent Bible studies together, please accept this mail as my Purim gift to each of you these Adar 14 & 15 days “of gladness and feasting, and a good day, and of sending portions one to another” (Esther 9:19!)

How appropriate to focus upon this Newsletter #3 of Toby’s upon this very day! (As before you’ll find my comments within brackets and in either red or green font within Toby’s Newsletter below!) Yes, today is one of those special days appointed in the Holy Scriptures, that is, God’s special appointment days, specially designed, as each and all of them are, for us to accept the purification of our thoughts in the living blood of the Word of God.

Please notice the text at the top left and right within the diagram shown at this link of mine!

Perhaps even more so, that is, “appropriate to focus…,” since Adar 14 also happens to be the Scriptural date upon which this body of mine was successfully delivered into the hands of my parents, as it was being released out of its narrow confinement within the warm and cozy waters of my mother’s womb, exactly 60 Scriptural years ago. Re the 60 years, I find it curious to notice the 60 years twice emphasized also within the diagram of this link of mine… Please, join me in praising our Redeemer and Savior, our Father in heaven, the Creator of Life, upon these very special days!

Happy Purim,

Gunnar Anders Smårs Jr ©

Ämne: Daniel's Messiah

Dear Friends,

Now is the time for the third newsletter. It is both attached and copied below. All newsletter are also posted on my website: www.TobyJoreteg.com and if you click on "Articles" you will find them there.

I have also included a side-by-side presentation of the Bible passage concerning Daniel 8 (in the attachment and on the website). With this presentation you can easily see Daniel's vision and compare it with the explanation he received.

May the Lord Bless you as you get used to see HIM as the fulfillment of this prophecy! And as usual I give HIM all glory and honor for what you have received now.

Jesus Ministry

The 2.300 Evenings and Mornings

Background

We have in the previous two articles seen that the Messiah is the main fulfillment of Daniel 8 and concluded that the time prophecy in Daniel 8 ended in 31 A.D., when He died on the cross. Since the end point of the 2,300 evenings and mornings, or the 1,150 days, is the cross, we should be able to find the starting point as well.

[Now, if we keep building upon those first words of yours, Toby, and if those words of yours are built upon nothing but, or little more than, a well meaning intent to present to the itching ears of our listeners ONE NEW point of “truth,” albeit being built upon known, or even suspected, errors, that is, because of our fear of rejection of said “truth” by said listeners, then won’t those words of yours bring us nowhere, but to our demise, that is, into further confusion, total rejection, and ultimately to our perdition? How are we then acting any different in principle than do the administrators of most any church, the Roman Catholic Church not excluded? Isn’t such a course of action based upon expediency rather than upon principle?

[The above words of yours may well represent yesterday’s Present Truth, the point reached by our beloved Seventh-day Adventist pioneers upon their route towards the ultimate truths re these particulars, an admirable pursuit that we are being greatly blessed by. And those pioneers certainly did present to us many most valuable blessings of truth, didn’t they? Not just ONE NEW thing! They didn’t fear lest otherwise they might find their discoveries being rejected by others, even by those within the churches out of which they came, did they?

[So far as I am concerned God is now ‘removing his hand’ from ‘hiding a mistake in those figures,’ that is, “an error… in detail… not… in principle{1BIO 323.2,} from our sight, while shedding upon us and upon the clear words of Scripture rays of greater light than we as a people upon this planet have been prepared to receive heretofore…

[Cf. Ellen White’s words:

[       “I have seen that the 1843 chart was directed by the hand of the Lord, and that it should not be altered; that the figures were as He wanted them; that His hand was over and hid a mistake in some of the figures, so that none could see it, until His hand was removed.” {EW 74.1}

 [“Said the angel: "If light come, and that light is set aside or rejected, then comes condemnation and the frown of God; but before the light comes, there is no sin, for there is no light for them to reject."  ”{1BIO 324.5}

and:

["It would be needful for His church in all succeeding ages to make His death for the sins of the world a subject of deep thought and study. Every fact connected with it should be verified beyond a doubt.“ (Desire of Ages, p. 569, 571.)

[Also don’t forget these words of the prophet Hosea:

[Hosea 4:6 KJV  My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

[Toby, I believe it is time for each and all of us to take those words of God to heart, or else, How can we ever even begin to hope to attain all those wonderful blessings of the truth re the Kingdom of God that our Creator is willing and able to give each and all of us, one by one, through our full acceptance of Daniel’s Messiah, our Messiah, our Redeemer?!

The time of Jesus ministry on this earth was of tremendous importance since everything we believe in [“everything…???” What about Genesis One an Two? What about the Exodus out of Egypt? What about the Exile out of Babylon? What about the event brought to God’s People in the times of Esther and Mordecai? (Since first writing this comment God has sent me many more wonderful rays of light re the exact dates recorded in the Book of Esther) / All the within edits, in yellow font on bright red, were made on “2010-10-25” by GS©] happened during this time. We put all our faith into the trustworthiness of His ministry and without its victorious fulfillment, we would be lost. This is true for all human beings including the whole universe. The time of Jesus ministry was the most important historical event ever.[1]

If Jesus would have failed, the earth would not have been cleansed from sin. The scar of rebellion would be visible forever and sin could potentially spread to the whole universe. But praise God! Jesus was victorious and very soon He will return. [But will we be willing to accept Him at His coming if presently we keep on rejecting the messages He keeps sending us? That is, because we are not giving such messages priority enough in order to be able to determine for ourselves whether or not, or to what extent, a given message is being built upon the truth of God or not…] The significance of the time of Christs ministry should not and cannot be diminished.

If the time of Jesus ministry on this earth would not have been mentioned anywhere in the Bible, would that not surprise you? What a strange thing, if this time would not have been predicted! Wouldnt you expect to find His time of ministry referred to in Bible prophecy?

Certainly, Messiahs coming and living on this earth has been foretold many times in the Bible. There are about 300 prophecies concerning Messiah and His first coming, someone said. This amount of information about our creator and redeemer seems very appropriate. But - is the duration of His ministry mentioned anywhere?

What Was Jesus Ministry?

Many of us are used to thinking that the time of Jesus ministry was 3 ½ years. In that case it started at His baptism and ended at the cross. But if we want to study the time of His ministry carefully, we have to accept how the Bible defines it. Below is Jesus own saying of what was included in His ministry, Luke 4:18-19:

The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor. (NIV)

The first thing was to preach the good news which refers to the gospel. He was to proclaim that He is the Savior! The second issue was to proclaim freedom for the prisoners. This statement should be seen spiritually. To my knowledge He never went to a prison to release prisoners but over and over again He released people from the bondage of sin.

Thirdly, The recovery of sight can be seen both literally and spiritually since Jesus healed literally blind men and gave them their eyesight back, but also symbolically when He opened their eyes to the truth as He taught them about Gods kingdom.

The fourth issue To release the oppressed fits well to the previously mentioned tasks, both literally and spiritually. All these four issues are clearly described by Jesus to be the core part of His ministry.

[Thank you Toby! I appreciate and value this section under the subheading “What Was Jesus’ Ministry?” It represents something that I hadn’t heretofore noticed! An additional ray of light upon the words of the Holy Scriptures!]

The Year of the Lords Favor

But what is meant with to proclaim the year of the Lords favor? At first look that expression does not seem to make any sense. Was only one year of His ministry devoted to His agenda described above? Certainly not! If we look at the original word for year we find the following translation from Louw and Nida, Greek Lexicon:

A unit of time of indefinite length, possibly shorter than age, (but of a relatively uncertain reference - age, era, time, to proclaim a favorable time of the Lord, that is to say, an era in which the Lord bestows his favor) Luke 4:19.

[Said “original word for “year” “ of yours is obviously Strong’s G1763, that is, a Greek word that is itself most certainly a translation from H8141, considering that Luke, along with Matthew, Mark, Acts, Revelation, and probably at least some of Paul’s epistles were almost certainly written in Hebrew before being translated first to Aramaic, and then from Aramaic to Greek. Cf. this very valuable info, as presented in the form of a video (You’ll find this info towards the end of the video, but you’ll most definitely be blessed by watching it all!,) by Nehemiah Gordon, a Dead Sea Scrolls scholar and researcher from Jerusalem.]

This statement fits right into this topic. The era was not necessarily one literal year of 360 days, but very likely it refers to His time of ministry as a whole.

As we all know Jesus did not start preaching the gospel right after His baptism. He did not start His healing ministry at that time either. After being filled with the Holy Spirit at the time of His baptism, He immediately was led into the desert by the same Spirit. He fasted and prayed for 40 days without doing any of the tasks mentioned in Luke 4:18-19. That means that His time of ministry, according to Jesus own definition, did not start with His baptism!

At the end of the 40 days Jesus became very hungry. In this state of suffering, He won a marvelous victory over the devil. Then the devil left Him and Gods angels attended Him.[2] After such a long fast you do not recover right away. You need to carefully and slowly start eating again. It probably took a few days, maybe even a week before Jesus had recovered enough strength to be able to work.

[Thanks Toby, for bringing my attention upon this item under your subheading “The Year of the Lord’s Favor!” – After some more reflection upon this issue it occurs to me that the Scriptural year beginning Tishri 22, 15 CE, with the beginning of Yeshua’s ministry some time before the Passover in that Scriptural year, constitutes Yeshua’s accession year. It follows that his 1st year began Tishri 22, 16 CE, and that his 2nd year began Tishri 22, 17 CE, which latter date is the date I’ve discovered for the events at the Mount of Transfiguration. But Yeshua was resurrected on Abib 21, 18 CE, which is at the very midpoint of his 2nd Scriptural year. It follows that said “year of the Lord’s Favor” was comprised of no more than one complete Scriptural year, albeit being comprised altogether of a little more than two 365 day cycles! Could it be that this one (1) complete year is “the year of the Lord’s favor” that Yeshua is identifying by those words of His? This represents a new thought to me, which I’ll have to reflect upon some more before accepting or rejecting…]

John Put in Prison

Thereafter Jesus heard that John the Baptist was put in prison and beheaded. John the Baptist was a relative of His and also the fore-runner to His ministry. Now John the Baptists voice was no longer heard. [Toby, these words of yours gives me an initial impression that is contrary to the clear Scripture record. Although you are not actually saying so by these words of yours, my first impression is that you mean to say that John was beheaded prior to the beginning of Yeshua’s ministry, which certainly he was not. But, yes, he was indeed silenced to a great degree by being put in prison. Perhaps you may wish to edit your wording re these particulars a tiny bit?] When Jesus received the news about Johns destiny, He returned to Galilee. In the next verse, according to Matthews account, He stayed in Nazareth in Galilee for some time. Exactly how long, we do not know. Thereafter He went to live in Capernaum, by the lake.[3]

Then the Bible tells us that a light would dawn by the sea in the land of Galilee.[4] Only then would the prophecy in Isaiah 9:1 be fulfilled according to the Gospel of Matthew. In the next verse, Matthew 4:17, the beginning of Jesus ministry is clearly announced.

This means Jesus needed to go to the Sea of Galilee to start His ministry. The prophecy in Isaiah 9:1 had to be fulfilled. Capernaum is by the lake and therefore Nazareth or any other place away from the lake, could not have been the place where He begun His ministry! That is why He went and lived in Capernaum, after having stayed in Nazareth. If we go to the gospel of John we will see this interpretation confirmed.

[Thanks Toby, for pointing out this particular point of beginning, which I hadn’t noticed before!]

The Wedding in Cana

While Jesus was in Galilee, before He went to Capernaum, He attended the wedding in Cana. In those days a wedding lasted for several days and it could possibly be a normal scenario that they ran out of resources. That certainly happened at this wedding and the shortage of wine was a fact. The mother of Jesus came to her son and told Him about the problem. Indirectly she alluded to Him to intervene. Jesus reply is, however, very interesting. Jesus answered that, my time has not yet come.[5]

What time had not yet come? How should we understand this? Consider this: Jesus said that His time had not yet come and then He did the miracle and turned water into wine. Was Jesus a liar or a hypocrite? Of course not! He told the truth because no lie has ever been found in His mouth.

If Jesus meant my time for doing miracles has not yet come, He would have been a liar. But, if a miracle in itself was not included in His statement concerning His ministry, He would not be a liar. Did Jesus come to perform miracles on weddings? Of course not! The only way to understand this phrase is that the divinely determined time of His ministry had not yet begun! Obviously He was not referring to the 3 ½ years, since that time already had started.

[Thanks again for pointing out Jesus’ own words re the point of beginning of his ministry and its connection with these words of his at the wedding in Cana, which words I’ve been wondering about before a great deal! Yet, I’m not fully clear about them even now, considering that I’m not buying into [all the details of] your 1,150 day interpretation, which [details] to me seems clearly inconsistent with the facts of real time history. And well, the “3 ½ years” are no more than 2 ½ years in real time, so far as I can tell.  / This correction (in dark red font) entered on “7-31-2010” by GS.]

[Continuing these corrections of my own prior “corrections” of my own comments… You’ll notice, upon comparing the above paragraph with the one below, that the 2 ½ years for Yeshua’s time of ministry still stands! However, and perhaps this is significant?, if you include also the ministry of John the Baptist in that ministry, which began in Tiberius’ 15th year of reign, then you do indeed get 3 or 3 ½ years for that ministry, that is, depending upon when exactly, in that 15th year, John’s ministry began.]

To Capernaum

When the Wedding in Cana was over, we read that Jesus went down to Capernaum by the lake.[6] That is significant! Of course He could have been there earlier, but that is not the issue. At the wedding, we know that His time had not yet started!

But, from Isaiah 9:1-2 and Matthew 4:12-17, we understand that the place where Jesus ministry began was by the lake. During His time in Capernaum, which was after the wedding in Cana and after Matthews quotation of Isaiah 9:1-2, we read, From that time on Jesus began to preach.[7]

This is the starting point we are looking for! [Thank you Toby for alerting me to this point of beginning at Capernaum! I don’t recall ever having noticed that one before this Newsletter of yours! It remains to be seen how this will add values of truth to my work re NT and Scriptural chronology… I have noticed though Yeshua’s similar statements at the time of the Last Supper, but, albeit thinking about it a lot, haven’t really felt that I’ve found the real significance of what he is aiming at (John 17:1, 4; 19:30.)] This is what He came to do according to His own definition. The preaching, the healing of the sick, setting people free from sin, etc. did not start during His 40 days of fasting, not during His recovery, and not in Nazareth or at the wedding in Cana - but in Capernaum by the lake. In Mark we find similar information.[8]

In Mark 1:15 Jesus tells His listeners that the time is fulfilled without specifically mentioning what time He has in mind. But the following phrases highlight His point. The kingdom of God is approaching or drawing near which indicates the beginning of something new. In the next phrase the new thing is defined, namely the gospel. In this verse we do not know where in Galilee He was, but the next verse, Mark 1:16, says that Jesus walked by the Sea of Galilee. And as mentioned earlier, Capernaum is situated by the lake.

After Capernaum Comes the Passover

If we go back to Johns Gospel we find that Jesus stayed in Capernaum not many days.[9] Exactly what that expression indicates, we do not know. The next thing recorded is that the Passover was at hand.[10] That implies that the wedding in Cana probably happened a short time before Passover, which would have been in March or April of A.D. 28.

With this interpretation we realize that Jesus ministry started shortly before Passover, probably in the beginning of 28 A.D., either in January or February. Many commentators believe that Jesus started His public ministry with the cleansing of the Temple and that He ended His ministry with the second cleansing of the temple. That concept comes very close to our Bible study above.

But is there anywhere in the Bible a text that tells us the exact duration of Jesus ministry; that fits to the circumstances described in these articles? Thus, it needs to be a few months shorter than 1,260 days or 3 ½ years. The duration must be part of the heavenly plan and should be mentioned in Bible prophecy.

·         Now you know what time I am referring to. It is the 1,150 days or the 2,300 dusks and dawns! This is the time of Gods favor! This is My time, as Jesus expressed it. This is the climax of history! During this time the universe had its eyes fixed on HIM!

[Well, well, there we go, building a sand castle on the beach…:  “A.D. 28…,” “A.D. 28…,” “1,260 days or 3 ½ years…,” “the 1,150 days or the 2,300 dasks and dawns…,” “This is the climax…!”]

Jesus Is the Focus

In the interpretation passage to Daniel 8:14, namely Daniel 8:26, we read that the vision concerning the evenings and mornings is true. This is a very profound statement and this word has a strong connection to Jesus Christ. He is the Truth not only in the New Testament,[11] but also in the Old Testament.[12] Therefore, when we read that the vision concerning the 2,300 evenings and mornings is true, it is the same as to say that this time refers to the Truth - Jesus Christ.

[Thanks for bringing forwards Daniel’s own interpretation of, and in, Daniel Chapter 8! And yes, I believe we are most likely upon the right track, in principle that is, albeit not in the details thus far here discovered… But that’s me. Even so, perhaps you’ll find that these links (Please, begin at item 1f. re “Daniel’s 2,300 evenings and mornings prophecy fulfilled…!”) of mine may shed further light of God upon these very things pertaining to the 2,300th evening/morning prophecy of Daniel?]

Below is the proposed chart for Daniel 8-12. As you can see, all these articles are centered on the cross. [Here a link showing how the sign of Jonas’ is truly centered upon “the cross.”] More details of this can be found in my book.[13]

With this interpretation the time of Jesus ministry lasted exactly 1,150 days! It was precisely predicted in Daniel 8 and perfectly fulfilled by Jesus. [So, let’s presume your assumption is true and that 31 AD is the year and that the crucifixion took place on April 27, 31 AD as proposed per the GC Research Committee of 1939. If so, then what dates will we obtain? It’s easily computed using a Julian Day Calculator: April 27, 31 AD – 1,150 days = Wednesday March 3, 28 AD, which per NASA’s Phases of the Moon Tables translates to Adar (12th Moon) 17, 28 AD. Likewise April 27, 31 AD – 1,260 days = Friday November 14, 27 AD, which translates to Heshvan (8th Moon) 26, 27 AD. The 40th day would be Wednesday December 24, 27 AD, that is Kislev (10th Moon) 6 or 7, 27 AD. Do these dates affect your model at all? With this interpretation the time of Jesus ministry lasted exactly 1,150 days! It was precisely predicted in Daniel 8 and perfectly fulfilled by Jesus. [So, let’s presume your assumption is true and that 31 AD is the year and that the crucifixion took place on April 27, 31 AD as proposed per the GC Research Committee of 1939. Also I should add to my prior calculations re your Newsletter #2, “April 25, 18 CE less 1,150 days = March 2, 15 CE… (= Adar 22, 15 CE),” that Adar 22, 15 AD falls in the 14th year of Caesar Tiberius. The the 15th year of Caesar Tiberius, per Scriptural reckoning (which Luke is certainly using!) began with Tishri 22, 15 [14] CE (cf. Luke 3:1!) So, what treasures of truth will we, you and I, be willing to learn under the guidance of the Holy Spirit from all of this? Do these dates help us confirm, or else reject, anything? Thus far, all I see is that the dates per your model have an attractive look about them, but, so far, I see no confirmation for those dates anywhere. Quite to the contrary, it seems to me that my translation of Daniel 8:14 in terms of “until darkness lightness #2,300…” is being sustained, perhaps even strengthened a tiny bit, by the absence of any confirmation to the contrary…? That is, thus far I don’t see how that I can find any valid application of a 1,150 day long period of time anywhere, and certainly not within the Scriptural calendar that God is allowing me to perceive up to this point in time. [Ok, in your prior Newsletter #2 I did eventually find a most interesting application of the 1,150 days... Let’s see if, in addition, there is anything of interest corresponding to the beginnings of your “40” and “70” day periods, etc., as displayed on your above diagram… Using my Julian day calculator, [To make it easier on you to read and understand this, please skip the fine print below, download the latest version of my OT Chronology Excel Spread Sheet and find each particular under the tag labeled “Sign of Jonah ±1260 days”…!] and beginning with the point in time defined by sunset Mon Apr 18, 18 CE (Julian day 1727740…,) I further find that 1,150 + 70 + 40 days = 1260 days and, accordingly that sunset Mon Nov 5, 14 CE corresponds to the point in time 1260 days prior. The Scripture calendar date corresponding to Yeshua’s baptism [that is, based upon this scenario of yours,] is Bul 22 or 23 (the 8th month,) 14 CE. This day falls within the first full month of the Scripture year following the beginning of the new year beginning with Tishri 22 [in 14 CE per your scenario] and is thus probably also within the days of ‘teshova’ referenced by John the Baptist for the time when Yeshua was baptized. The fact that it does not also satisfy the added specifics that I have associated with certain Roman Catholic holidays [i.e. Ascension Day and Christmas] does not bother me much, if at all… So then, let’s see what’s on our side of the day Judas sold Yeshua, i.e. Mon Apr 18, 18 CE (JD 1727740:) 1) Adding 1260 days gives us Mon Sep 29, 21 CE (JD 1729000,) 2) adding 1290 days gives us Oct 29, 21 CE (JD 1729030,) and 3) adding 1335 days gives us Sat Dec 13, 21 CE (JD 1729075.) The corresponding Scripture dates, defining the end of each of those periods of time, beginning at sunset of those days are 1) Tishri 4, 2) Bul 5, and 3) Kislev 19. Well, if we pass over the Passover days by reckoning instead from either the resurrection day or from the crucifixion day we’ll arrive at the beginnings of much more interesting Scripture calendar dates, that is: 1) Tishri 10, which is the Day of At-One-Meant, 2) either Bul 8 or Bul 11…, nothing really striking here, but, oh well, the 11th could correspond to the full duration of the 1st New Moon, that is, until that New Moon is transformed into, and perceived as, a full moon, that is, an Old moon, a moon such as was being described by the woman in Endor(?,) and, as far as Bul 8, well, that turns out to fall on the First Day of the week…, perhaps that could be the abomination being referenced in Daniel 12:11?, and 3) the 1335th day turns out to be a Sabbath following immediately upon Kislev 25, the Day of Dedication. This latter result corresponds to a count based upon the sunset of Mon Apr 25, 18 CE, which is the exact point in time when the tomb was opened and found empty. That is, the event (not the time) generally associated with the resurrection! Please cf. also the symmetry of my diagram under this link re the Sign of Jonah, which diagram, in a manner of speaking, is an important key to a more correct understanding of your proposed diagram above – if you see what I mean? One important lesson that I can perceive in items 1) and 3) of these last results is a strong hint for us as God’s People to continue observing each of God’s appointed annual Feast Days even after the events of the crucifixion week and to recognize the fallacy of believing that any of God’s eternal appointments, laws, or ordinances are ever being abolished! [Upon further considering the details of these findings I’m struck with several things: 1) It’s as if each of these time periods, 40, 1,150, 1,260, 1,290, and 1,335 is an arrow of God pointing out to us certain important events for each of us always to keep in mind and remember! 2) The things pointed out have been mostly overlooked and is little, if at all, being thought about or taught! 3) Most strikingly, to me, is the fact that, as I previously pointed out, the 1,150 day count is pointing out the Days of Purim, thus doubling up and confirming my prior discovery that there is exactly 490 years from the original Purim event to the year of crucifixion! 4) Another emphasis I notice here is that said 1,150 days are founded upon the time for the transfer of title of Yeshua’s body from God’s sole ownership to that of men, not upon the crucifixion! 5) The 1,290 days are pointing out an important tie between the crucifixion event the First Day of the week, i.e. as in Sunday keeping, but that, and one more (below) is all I see for the crucifixion event itself! Perhaps this is a subtle hint of God that that event is being used by Satan for misguiding our focus from more important things?! 6) The only other tie I am seeing to the crucifixion day is a 1,335 day arrow pointing to the Fourth Day of the week, which day, if I am not misinformed, is being celebrated by Satanists as an important 2nd Sabbath. I’m not sure what’s in the term “Black Sabbath,” perhaps you know? 7) Tied to, and reckoning from, the point in time when the tomb was opened, i.e. on Monday night at sunset, the beginning of the Seventh Day of Unleavened Bread, I find a 1,260 day arrow pointing to the Day of At-One-Meant, and 8) another 1,335 day arrow pointing to the 7th Day Sabbath! 9) The 40 day arrow is pointing back towards (!) the Day of Dedication, that is, as in the wedding wows, the very foundation for each our very existence, that is, each our very life! How is it that we can allow this to happen to ourselves without turning to God for the salvation so essential to all of us???!!!!!!! 10) Another 1,290 day arrow, this one based upon the opening of the tomb, very significant!, is pointing to the endpoint of the New Moon, that is, the difference between the New and the Old moon. I find it very significant, in this setting, that just a very few days ago [on the day I am currently designating as “5940(?) 05 09 2026 [2010-07-22,]”] God suddenly opened up my eyes to recognize a thing that I’ve been intently looking for ever since before Norman, your father-in-law, made me aware of the works of Immanuel Velikovsky, that is, a firm date tying our present day calendars to a dated event in the Scriptures such as can provide for us an exact date for the events in Genesis and for the Creation itself. The thing I am talking about has very much to do with the beginning of the Old moon, indeed even the KJV is reflecting that concept of age in the words “An old man cometh up…” (1 Samuel 28:14…) But you’ll find all the exiting, to me at least, details in the article under this link… 11) So, as you can see for yourself, each and all of the numbers of days given us by Daniel are highly significant for us that live here today, at the very end of time, and at the end of any such day as may be referenced by our present day concept…, that is, as reflected by common expressions such as “in these last days” or “as of late,” that is, just the same as was the situation when Moses spoke to the People of Israel before Mount Sinai as recorded in Deuteronomy 5:2-5!!! 12) Notice also how comprehensive that is, and how those pointers selectively point to things other than such as may be reserved for the two other chief annual Feasts of the Lord, that is, I perceive no ties or arrows pointing to either Pentecost,  to the Feast of Tabernacles, or to the Day of Trumpets!] After all, if we don’t, how are we ever to comprehend the realities and the many and intricate details built into God’s own calendar?!!! But that is certainly not the same as saying that we are to resume any species of meaningless, or mere formal, rituals that were never intended by our Creator in the first place! Well, Toby, congratulations! It looks like your persistence is finally paying off, and that I am finding a way of seeing value in the greater picture of your above diagram, that is, except for the bottom line designators “AD 27… 28…  31… 34!” So far as I am currently able to perceive the real time reality of the past, those numbers must necessarily be changed to “CE 14, 15, 18, 21.” That is, so long as we are not satisfying ourselves by believing the lies of Satan and by our own blind adherence to leaders before us that, albeit mostly doing their very best, were never able, before each their own demise, to reach the ultimate understanding that they were each very diligently searching for… Nevertheless, I’ve also discovered a most interesting and valuable application of my above original discovery, that is, re “my translation of Daniel 8:14 in terms of “until darkness lightness #2,300…! ” You see, as best I can tell, reckoning the years of Noah’s reign, that is, reckoning from the year of the Flood as the accession year, I’ve discovered, or so it seems currently, that the exact year #2,300 coincides with the very first Scripture record of the apostles reaching out with the Gospel to the non-Jews, that is, the experience of Peter and Cornelius, as recorded in Acts... / These corrections (in dark red font) entered on “8-1-2010” (and in bright red font, in this paragraph, on “8-5-2010”) by GS.] ] Therefore, Jesus Christ and His first coming is the epitome of Daniel 8 and 9.

[Continuing… As you can see by comparing the above paragraph with the one below, there is very little that needed changing (red font in the above paragraph) in the end, that is, after once having recovered my firm footing upon that which the Lord of Hosts has revealed, He who is truly my Redeemer. Indeed, most of the further additions in the above are in the nature of expanding light and brightness. As before, my original paragraph is copied below: / These corrections (in dark red font) entered on “8-5-2010” by GS.]]

[With this interpretation the time of Jesus ministry lasted exactly 1,150 days! The Scripture calendar date corresponding to Yeshua’s baptism is Bul 22 or 23 (the 8th month,) 14 CE. This day falls within the first full month of the Scripture year following the beginning of the new year beginning with Tishri 22 and is thus probably also within the days of ‘teshova’ referenced by John the Baptist for the time when Yeshua was baptized. The fact that it does not also satisfy the added specifics that I have associated with certain Roman Catholic holidays does not bother me much, if at all… So then, let’s see what’s on our side of the day Judas sold Yeshua, i.e.
