What Does the Image of God Teach Me Re the Godhead?
I wonder what "Doctrinal reform" Doug Batchelor has in mind?  I recently listened to part of a CD of one of his sermons, and he was advocating a return to Arianism (a 2-person godhead) which was around in EGW's day, and dealt with in one of her visions.

Yes, we are reaching the end of time, where this type of thing was foretold.  WE MUST STICK WITH THE TRUTH AT ALL COSTS -- even if it means closing a University.

Dear Beryl,

Thanks for daring to stand up and be counted on the side of truth!

It is my conviction that too many have become martyrs unnecessarily due to a false belief honestly held, stood up for, and then punished as a consequence. This is a sad fact, because if those martyrs would have lived they could have continued to spread light for a longer time in more ways than by means of their commemoration as martyrs.

I believe there are more than one error being propagated within our beloved SDA Church re the nature of the Godhead. Arianism certainly is one of those errors and the Trinity concept is heavily tied to Arianism.

Both of those falsehoods serve well as veils hiding for us a true insight into the nature of God. In order for any one of us not having to die and suffer unnecessarily for a ‘truth’ that isn’t a truth, I believe it is essential for us to ever better understand the true nature of God as provided from the very beginning in Genesis 1:26-29.

I believe that a true comprehension of truth can only be attained by each one’s direct interaction and communication with our God and Savior, not by means of blindly accepting thoughts conveyed by another human being or by any hierarchy. Yes, we can and should learn much by means of one another, but only to the extent that we have learned to correctly discern and heed the still small voice of God in what we are seeing and hearing while recognizing also any other voice for what it really is.

God has provided for us in the Bible and by means of Ellen G. White much more light than we, any of us, can comprehend even within a ‘normal’ life span, yet it is there for us to benefit from. The Enemy is doing his best to deter us from taking time for personal and direct communion with God through prayer, personal Bible studies and reflection. He is doing his best in making us busy doing all kinds of apparently important and necessary things other than those things that, in the eyes of God, are of the very highest priority.

Noah’s own name has many strong ties to the true Sabbath. Yet, I believe that regardless of what each our name may be, we may greatly benefit from doing as Noah did in looking into the eyes of God. Per Genesis 6:8:
Gen 6:8 TLT And Noah perceived his own mirror image in the eyes of Yahweh.

Gen 6:8 KJV  But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
Each of our names carries an important message forming and shaping each of us into who we are. Perhaps this is even more true re the names recorded in the Word of God. Most especially this is true re God’s own names and those most important names ‘Jesus’ and ‘Christ.’

It behooves each of us to reflect upon the true meaning of those names… Please cf. also this post of mine!
