The Adventist Sabbath Paradox - The Astronomical Data and 31AD.

The Julian/Gregorian calendar for any year is easy to reproduce...
...and conversion/comparision to the Hebrew calendar can be made here...
http://www.calendarhome.com/converter/

The following calendar is a Julian calendar for April of 31 AD overlaid with the lunar cycle...
...the white circle on Wednesday 25th April (14th Nisan) is the Passover Full Moon...
...which obviously does not coincide with a Friday - Saturday.

Here it is in reverse...
...a lunar calendar for the same period overlaid with the Julian days...
...and showing the timing of the crucifixion if it had occurred Passover of 31 AD...
...but the 31 AD date is not supported by other historical/astronomical evidence that I will present later.

Lunar data is also available online here...

NASA Eclipse WebSite - Phases of the Moon years 1 to 100
http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/phase/phases0001.html

Thanks to Kepler's equation the uncertainty in the value between Universal and Dynamical time is less than three hours....
...which has no material effect on calculating these dates for the current exercise.

If you examine the NASA data you will also notice that neither March or April of 31 AD fits Ellen's criteria...

"In company with His disciples, the Saviour slowly made His way to the garden of Gethsemane. The Passover moon, broad and full, shone from a cloudless sky. The city of pilgrims' tents was hushed into silence." DA 685

"...the creation Sabbath, the day on which Jesus lay at rest in Joseph's tomb..." Ellen White DA Chapter 80

There was clearly no Full Moon on a Friday or Saturday/Sabbath in 31 AD coinciding with Passover.
